In the latter case, access to the Master’s Degree Courses is subject to the successful completion of an assessment of the candidate’s previous career and the adequacy of his or her preparation carried out by the School’s Admissions Commission – Admission to the Master’s Degree Courses, whose decision is final. In cases of rejection, the Commission will give appropriate reasons for the decision.

The same criteria also apply to those who hold a university-level qualification, also obtained abroad, deemed suitable by the Master’s Degree Course Council, for which it is possible to identify the scientific disciplinary sectors and the number of credits obtained in each sector. If identification is not possible, a career evaluation will be carried out by the Course Council. Any curricular additions in terms of ECTS credits must be acquired prior to the verification of individual preparation, as enrollment with additional educational obligations is not permitted.

Further details concerning the curricular requirements and the methods for verifying personal preparation are set out in the Course Programme Regulations.

For admission, an adequate knowledge of English at a level not lower than B2 of the Common European Framework is also a prerequisite. Levels of English language proficiency must be certified, when applying for admission, by achieving minimum score levels in tests recognised by the University.

A description of the prerequisites needed to successfully attend the main subject of the M.Sc. programme is reported in the prerequisites document. We recommend each candidate to exploit this document to verify if her/his background is lacking important topics in the characterizing subjects.

Self-assessment tests related to topics of Automatic Controls and Mathematical Analysis are available.
