This thesis addresses computer vision techniques for fruit detection and ripeness assessment.

The student will develop a system that:

• Detects fruits within images using deep learning models
• Classifies their maturity stage based on visual features

A possible extension includes implementing a regression model to estimate the remaining time until harvest for each detected fruit.

The project requires Python3 and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch). Dataset selection and evaluation metrics will be part of the work.
